How will SecureTheFile know when an account holder has passed away? And who will have access to an account after death?
If you are not a Nominee or require more access than you currently have to someone’s SecureTheFile libraries and documents, you can request authorisation. There are two ways you can do this:
- You can request authorisation following the death of a SecureTheFile user at the following link:
You will be asked to fill out some information on yourself and the SecureTheFile user. You will also need to provide evidence of the passing (such as a Death Certificate). This will be validated by our team.
- You may email our team: firstname.lastname@example.org. If you are choosing to email, please include full details (including full name, address and date of birth) of the SecureTheFile user, evidence of the passing (such as a Death Certificate) and your own details (including full name, address and date of birth) and a contact number.
We will try our best to ensure any verification checks take place as soon as possible, to give you access to your loved one’s libraries and documents at the earliest available convenience.
